Sandwich recipes
Whether the filling is tucked between two soft slices of bread or the bread is crisply toasted, a great sandwich is always about the harmony of bread and filling. It gets even better when rich flavours like umami come into play. Used as a savoury marinade or as a secret ingredient in a spread, Kikkoman sauces turn a simple sandwich into something with real depth of flavour.

Sandwich and spread recipes
While the humble sandwich may be a simple idea, its variations are wonderfully diverse. A wide range of local culinary influences can come together to create a memorable meal. Simply choose your favourite.
How to make a great hot sandwich
If you like your sandwiches toasted, start with firm ingredients such as cheese or slices of meat directly on the bread. Add the wetter ingredients on top, such as tomatoes, cucumber or sauces. This keeps them separate from the bread, preventing it from going soggy.
For extra crunch, lightly butter the outside of the bread and toast it in a frying pan or sandwich maker until golden brown. This makes your sandwich wonderfully crisp.
For that extra touch:
Mix Kikkoman Soy Sauce into your mayo, marinate your meat with Kikkoman Teriyaki BBQ Sauce Honey, or finish your sandwich with creamy Kikkoman Sesame or Kimchi Chili Sauce as a topping. They give any sandwich a real flavour upgrade.
You can also use a dip, such as Kikkoman Teriyaki Collection, Kikkoman Sesame Sauce or Kikkoman Kimchi Chili Sauce.
