BBQ Steak with a Soy Sauce Marinade
This delicious soy sauce marinade is perfect to pour over steak. Featuring hints of garlic, apple and lemon it's the ideal steak marinade for the bbq.

- For the Steak Marinade
- 720g Beef Steak
- 20ml white wine
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 tbsp apple puree
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 slices of lemon
- 80ml Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce
- ground pepper
- 1 tsp roasted ground sesame seeds
- For accompanying salad
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 courgette, sliced
- 1 red pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow pepper, sliced
- 2 corn cobs, cut into 3
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 12 padron peppers
- 20ml Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce
Slice the steak into strips.
For the marinade add the white wine, garlic, apple puree, sugar, lemon and Kikkoman Soy Sauce to a frying pan. Sprinkle some ground pepper and bring to the boil. Once boiling, cool down. Add the steak to a bowl or bag and cover with the marinade, also adding the sesame seeds. Marinate for 10 minutes at room temperature.
Whilst the steak is marinating oil the sliced vegetables.
Place the steak and vegetables onto the BBQ and grill for 3-5 minutes. Baste the vegetables with Kikkoman Soy Sauce.
