Authentic Salmon Poke Bowl Recipe

This is an authentic recipe for the famous Hawaiian Poke Bowl and combines fresh salmon with our new Poke Sauce. It is packed with flavour and is nutritious too. Enjoy for a healthy lunch idea

  • 200g sushi or jasmine rice
  • 1 small fennel bulb
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 75g sugar snap peas
  • 12 radishes
  • 250g salmon (sashimi quality grade)
  • 2-3 tbsp Kikkoman Poke Sauce
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • Fresh coriander
  • 1 tbsp black sesame seeds (for sprinkling on top)


Cook the rice according to pack instructions. Leave to cool for a while and then divide into 4 bowls.

Cut the fennel into very thin slices and put them in ice-cold water. Cut the avocados into slices, dice the cucumber and slice the radishes in half. Put sugar snap peas in a colander and pour a kettle of boiling water to blanch them.

Remove the skin from the salmon and dice it. Combine with the Kikkoman Poke Sauce and sesame seeds.

Place the drained fennel, cucumber, avocado, radishes, sugar snap peas, salmon and fresh coriander on top of the rice in each bowl and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with extra Kikkoman Poke Sauce on the side.
