Okonomi Yaki-style Potato Fritters

  • 1.2kg potatoes
  • 180g soft cheese
  • 60 ml vegetable oil
  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 bunch of chives
  • 150g Kikkoman Tonkatsu Sauce
  • 100g mayonnaise
  • 80g medium hot mustard


Peel, wash and finely grate the potatoes. Mix together the grated potato and soft cheese, divide into portions and fry the oil at a medium heat for approx 6 minutes to make 10 thin fritters. Turn the fritters over and cook for approx 6 minutes on the other side.

Wash the tomatoes. Add them to the frying liquid and cook for approx 2 minutes. Trim and wash the chives, then finely snip. Brush the fritters with Kikkoman Tonkatsu Sauce and garnish with mayonnaise and mustard.

Sprinkle with chives and fried cherry tomatoes and serve hot.
