Kikkoman’s world famous naturally brewed soy sauce was awarded the title of Best Store Cupboard Essential as voted by readers of Good Housekeeping magazine. More than 10 other ingredient brands in this category were beaten off by Kikkoman at the prestigious Good Housekeeping Food Awards 2016.
The win shows that Kikkoman soy sauce is now used by home cooks as an all-purpose seasoning, as well as being the perfect partner to stir-fries and sushi. Made from just 4 pure ingredients – soybeans, wheat, salt and water - and slowly brewed over several months, this versatile sauce can be used instead of salt in almost any dish to bring out the flavour of the food. The star-studded award ceremony which comprised 24 different food categories took place at the Royal Institute of British Architects, London on 6th July in front of 250 people in the food industry and famous faces including celebrity chef Mary Berry, James Martin, Antonio Carluccio and Matt Tebbutt.
